After the invasion of France in 1940 by the German Army pockets of Resistance sprang up across the country. Civilians and cut off French soldiers took up arms against the Nazi invaders, either in attacking convoys and patrols or smuggling RAF pilots back to Britain. The main aims of the Resistance were to eat at the moral of the German forces, gather intelligence for the Allied forces and getting a few back at Jerry for invading there country!

The men and women of the resistance were incredibly brave people risking their, and their family's lives for their country and for their allies and great respect is due towards them.
